The prose of life

Martin Poirier embarked on this literary adventure at the turn of 1992, when he was nearly eighteen years old. It was poetry that opened up to him, just before he discovered an interest in screenwriting. Her journey took many years, invested with a deep solitude and an almost mystical relationship with her search for mutual love. With his autobiographical trilogy that he publishes in 2024, he offers you a whole life through his verb in love with amber and gold.

Conversation with Solitude is the first volume of this trilogy. There are poems written between 2008 and 2018, but also texts that date from the earliest hours, between 1992 and 2008. He shares this conversation with a reflection of himself. Sometimes representing a wiser, more mature Martin, letting experience and wisdom respond to the young man who inhabits his old word.

Les Champs d'Émeraude, the second collection of his texts between 2014 and 2024, takes you to intermediate reflections that Martin reserves for himself, as his experience is rapidly approaching his mid-life. This collection is both a tribute that he offers to his mother and a smile that he offers to the one he calls Emerald, or the literary personification of his ideal of love.

The third collection, to be published in December 2024, brings together all of his English-language poems. Wineglass and Ladybug closes this trilogy by bringing even more recent reflections, as if to bring a sense of closure to her conversations with loneliness.
